Found another one. This is in Cashiers, NC September 2018. A great day of riding during EOM. Sonya, Jason, Marie, and Grandpa Dan.

I had a room at the La Quinta Inn. When I called the Microtel, the guy who answered said all the rooms were taken. The La Quinta was $184 for the two nights, which make it like $92/night after taxes and fees. I could only get that rate through Priceline as the hotel was like another $15-$20 more per night.

I ended up canceling the room. My youngest has a tournament in Steamboat Springs CO that weekend. C and I had it down wrong she thought it was next month. We're working an ugly case at work. Basically s missing girl that we are 99% sure her BF killed and dumped her body. Thankfully all the important stuff that needed me happened this last week. The bummer is this thing gets colder by the day.

All of this to say, I will not make it to GA on the 11th.

With Keith. Very cool dude. This is a frosty balls ride. Keith is wearing mesh. Very tough dude. Image

Sunrise Grocery. Base of Blood Mountain. Image

Probably on the way back from EOM. Image

Peaceful moment at EOM. Little did they know, less than 100 feet behind them, a bear was being pressured into date night. Image

i remember eom in cumberland gap being a dry county.

jason volunteered the trunk of his car as the transport and ice laden cooler for "imported" adult beverages. :) :P

every eom i went to, jason had some volunteer role at check in, or other task, to help things run smoothly.

Update - GoFundMe

Jason's family has set up a GoFundMe page - description below - for those who would like to donate.
Text from the page:
Please join us on Saturday June 11th to celebrate the life of Jason Williams.

We look forward to this time of fellowship and being able to hear the stories and profound impact that Pops has had on all of us. Love you all and cannot wait to give each of you a hug that will pale in comparison to the ones Pops would give out to each of you if he saw you again. Love you all.

We have created this GofundMe to help support the final expenses for Jason. Any funds from this fundraiser will be used towards funeral and burial costs, anything leftover or in excess of those costs will go towards his 12 grandchildren. Thank you,
