We all know my technical ability falls more in line with "He gets lucky more often working on his bike than with his wife." Seriously, I was in the auto store looking for something else when I stumbled upon that solution. Put it together and it worked. Figured it'd be a good band-aid to get me through the trip, but I'm also in the camp of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" so it remains.

You guys running cig adapters in the glove box: any nods to cable management, or just lettin' 'em flop wild in the breeze? I've got a Lightning cable dedicated to the tank bag for the phone; it pokes out the bottom rear of the bag. Worked well for the 590 lead, which poked up between the seat and tank, required a bit more cable flopping around when I had to run it to that dual-port on the master cylinder.

You can remove/modify/replace the drain grommet in the bottom of the glove box, which will allow neater routing..... haven't done it yet myself, but one day......

Me either - as Ray previously mentioned, there is enough flex in the glove box lid to snap over one USB cable. It works OK.

My favorite cables are the "flat" ones that are also covered in a braided cloth. They are easy to shut in the door and the cloth covering them does not rub paint. They are readily available at many Pilot or Loves stations in our area. I would think the same for your neck of the woods. You know they have them at BUCEES.

I also have a velcro strap around my handle bars to help route the cable from the box to the tank bag.

I decided to put mine in a Nelson Rigg tail bag and used the Powerlet luggage power kit, It allowed me to have a quick connect at the bag if I needed to remove the bag.

I have a BikeMaster dual USB port thingy that plugs into my batter tender lead. When Sooze or I need to charge our stuff (phones or Sena headsets), I plug in the BikerMaster thingy and route it into my tank bag, and whatever needs charged goes into the tank bag.

Originally, I was gonna mount the BikerMaster thingy in my Givi like Wayne has done, but I've just never got around to it.

Old thread but thats what i did in the glove compartment. Push the usb-c connector through and plastic tie to surrounding wire and cables. Ran it up through main harness bundle next to steering head and around my mcl stem nut with ball mount. I tuck the end connector back down through the wire bundle to secure the end when not in use.

I also use a flat low profile usb charger in the glove box to save space. Works great.

I installed an X-grip that has a USB port. I ran power to it from my Fuseblock under the seat. I also have a two slot run into my tank back that hooks to the battery tender.
