I've said my sad things in Facebook posts, now I'm moving on to the great memories. Jason made his way to SFO a couple of times, he even brought Sonya last year. It was awesome having them both there! But I think my fondest memory of Jason is from 2018. The usual crew, we call ourselves the Dixie Desperados, was en route to BigJohn's Black Hills Roundup and passing through Grand Tetons N.P. where we encountered another FJR. Next thing you know, Jason pulled up next to me, lifted his modular helmet and with that big ole smile on his face he gave me the usual fist bump. We had bought a few sandwiches and cold snacks back in Jackson Hole so I told him we were headed to have a picnic and asked him to please come join us. We broke bread together that day in one of the most magical places on earth.... it was a special day indeed.
Many of you will also recognize another familiar face in the bottom left of this picture, Jim Parsons, who also left us behind back in September 2021. I suppose Jim and Jason are now doing wheelies and shit together. RIP Jim and Jason both, you each have left huge holes in all of our hearts.

Thank you to everyone for all of the love, support, tears, and laughter honoring Jwilly (my Jason). The world lost a wonderful person who was bigger than life on Saturday and it is just not fair. I just wanted to say thank you for all of the love from everyone, I feel it and all of the family does as well here in Atlanta. xoxo - Sonya

So very sorry to hear of this. While not a frequent poster here, have read and heard of him through here and prayers are with his family and many friends.

Sonya, just know that as crushed as we are...we cannot conceive the depths of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are sincerely bent your way...and if our dysfunctional family can help in any way, short term or long-term... We are so ON it!

This just reminded me of one of the last face to face conversations Jwilly and I had. At SFO we discussed which one of us was going be the first to offer to deliver a bike to Marty (Oface) once he decided it was time after his latest off. I was a jovial argument to say the least with lots of laughs.
With that I don't mind taking over and carrying on the Jwilly motorcycle delivery duties.

Just so you know, I believe Jason broke in that '13 on the way east in the upper rpm ranges of the top gear. I believe if there was any carbon left on the valves from 5800 miles in 6+ years of previous ownership, that was all gone by the time it got to me.
