That road was one of the highlights of the Spearfish round up for Dianne and I in 2018. Hope to get back again some day.

Fun road but a guy has to remember not to ride the pig tail sections on a dual sport with knobbies like a supermotard on hyper sport tires. Low sides may result. DAMHIK

I loved that road when I was out there for the Black Hills gathering a couple of years ago... I didn't know about the pigtail bridges before going so it was a delightful and fun surprise... remember when we were stopped at the really narrow tunnel because there was some sort of rescue operation going on? And there was a long line of traffic waiting and those Harley riders thought they could just bypass everyone and go to the front of the line? And the wicked awesome ranger held them back when the tunnel finally opened and let everyone go in front of them? That was awesome!! :D

Rode this two-up back in 2014 on our first extended road trip. What I remember most is me focusing on the road making sure I didn't crash and Dahlia sightseeing and taking photos and asking if I saw that view, or that one, or oh, did you see that!

I have a friend who rides with his SO 2-up and she was always asking if we saw things... some of them really weird things like pink flamingos or a litter of foxes, etc. We accused her of hallucinating and would make up stuff that we saw that we didn't... it was kind of a running joke whenever we would ride together... "Hey Stevie... did you see the pink elephant??" :D

Ha ha, I have seen foxes and pink flamingos on my travels... but amazes me what I don't see when focusing on riding (which we all should). I have missed seeing foxes, police cars, all kinds of stuff... pillion tells me, or the rider behind me. I sometimes take pics while riding too, but pillion can do that and get the better shots.
I have seen a lot of white elephants, that gets a little depressing....

Rode this last week with our group that went to Sturgis for the week before the rally. 1,200 miles in 4 days. Great weather, great friends, fantastic roads! The Black Hills are amazing.
I spent most of my money on guns, motorcycles, women, and whiskey. The rest I just wasted!

I love that road and have been on it many times. I always thought it was part of 16A and didn't know the history. Thanks John!
It's a good day to ride
