Time to plan that Scotland trip...and figure out a route from your place to Red Lodge and southern Utah so I can buy you a beer...

Thank you. The lack of a test ride is a deal breaker. I am just pissed off at this dealer's lack of customer focus.

It has been nice in Spokane the past 10 days with temps in the lower '50. About noon, after the frost melts from last night thaw, I think I will take my ancient 09 FJR for a two hour ride south of Spokane for a little fun. I will just take it easy as I don't know where the northern shadows live most of the day. Any damp spots on the road will be treated with most respect.

Yesterday a motorcyclist was killed by a motorist making a pass on a two line highway I ride often about 50 miles north of home.

Thats my plan for tomorrow. Except I'll pull the battery out and put it on the tender inside.

We had our first snow last night and today. The next week or so looks colder than normal in the long range forecast and I am afraid that this means the end of the riding season for me. The bike remains available in case of unseasonably warm weather up to late December but it isn't very likely I will get out. (A few years ago, I managed a Christmas Day ride.)

We got our first snow a week ago and it's still on ground. I'm thinking I'll see the same snow next spring.

bungie4,

In Wyoming, it only snows once each winter, then the snow blows back and forth across the state, until Winter is over.
In Spring, the snow there doesn't melt, but it's all gone because it got worn out just blowing back and forth like that.

Yeah, I fly hang gliders (3000 hrs.+). I know why the birds sing.

With the cold front blowing through, I'm putting mine up for a while. Getting off work and riding in 24*F just ain't for me. Maybe I'll get it out for a day ride here and there but basically I'm done 'til March

Took a short ride today, about 50 and sunny. Will ride to my granddaughter's cheer competition tomorrow am. Gotta love Georgia!

Good weekend so far. Took my dad and his (our) friend fishing yesterday. We cast netted for an hour and caught 25 pounds of medium shrimp and a baker's dozen of crabs. Then I trolled about 2 miles of a tidal canal. We caught about 10 speckled trout, 5 or 6 flounder, and a couple of redfish. My dad caught one of the redfish, and I'm guessing it was close to 20 pounds. Last night, I boiled the crabs and a couple pounds of shrimp for mama and I.

Cleaned fish this morning and took care of a few house maintenance projects.

Take a ride on the bike with a couple buddies in the morning. Planning to plug in the jacket liner to go, as the forecast says about 40 deg. F. But it warms up to 64 and it should be sunny. Planning to be home by mid afternoon to check out the LSU/Bama game.

This 3-day workweek shit is the bees knees, ya'll.

Stay thirsty, my friends.....

A zero day workweek is the Queen bees! :D

Oh and I road my FJR 3.5 hours on some very nice road south of Spokane today. Not bad for November.

Rode it.

400 miles round trip to meet a forum member from Baton Rouge for lunch. Chilly this morning in the low 40's and cloudy, so I plugged in the liners and tested them, they still work good. 55 and sunny on the ride home, didn't use the liners till the sun started going down. Good ride, good food, good company for lunch.

Put the FJR away for the year in anticipation of deer season. 8-hours in the stand, time to get the FJR back out.

Well done, Steve. I'm sure that critter will be quite tasty, but I'm more appreciative of the fact that this forest rat.... er... buck, along with all of its future unpregnated offspring, will not be anywhere on a road to kill us.

200 miles yesterday in absolutely gorgeous and perfect weather. We stopped to drink some water and I told my buddy: "If you don't like this, then go home and take up golf".
