Although not perfect, the current configuration (woo-commerce with paypal integration) works well and is fairly hands off. It provides an end to end payment process within the store.
I found a Zelle plugin, but all that does is offer a way to display zelle info for the user to pay via zelle outside of the store - so it would create 2 separate places to track and reconcile funds that would be intermingled with my personal household finances. One of the benefits (to me on the backend) with Paypal is it lets me keep funds completely separate from my personal finances without having another savings / checking account at a brick & mortor bank.
For event planning - like EOM - having funds coming in via various channels (storefront /w Paypal, zelle to bank account, etc.) would add a layer of auditing / effort that I don't have time for. That's why the fee paypal does take is reasonable - other solutions exist, but do not offer the ability to reconcile event tickets / headcount in one single place (exported excell spreadsheet).
Zelle is a good service - My wife uses is for collecting money when she does riding lessons at the barn and for paying her board. Her clients can pay and it give them an electronic record of the payment. We took the second checking account we had and use it strictly for her "horse shit" as I call it. Keeps her stuff separate from the household main account.
I will look at setting something up like that the next time I do a fund raiser post. I just am leary about having funds (potenitally) flowing into an account and intermingling with our household funds and it getting missed / not separated out.
Thanks for the suggestion, I do appreciate it.

Speaking of PayPal. Although convenient, they do take money away, and they are not at all friendly to the 2nd amendment. Would like to see a Zelle, or other option besides PayPal which gets all the funds to the desired destination, besides snail mail.
