I've been working on migrating the dbase for the storefront to a new wordpress instance today, along with running site backups and moving them off the server - those activities could be impacting response time of the shared-service the site is on, along with traffic from other sites on the same shared server.

Of course, there are tons of other factors that could be impacting the load times you see on your specific PC, network and internet service provider.
