I must be having an illiterate day...
Does anyone know... Does the Givi Stoplight Kit for V37/V47 Case - E135 work only as a brake light or...
Does it work as a running light, then when brakes are applied the LED's intensify in brightness.
I've been clicking all over the intertoobs and can't seem to find out this info...

Yeah yeah I know... Admore Lighting is the cats ass, but the Givi kit is $65Cdn.

It is either brake light or running light, as there are only two wires and depends what you hook up to obviously..... hold off on purchase, come see me next week when I'm back at the shop.

I had one in my old E55. It was nice, but it certainly wasn’t bright. I installed an admore light bar and never felt the need for case lights again.

Also, I've heard the plug in on the Givi is problematic. Spend the extra on the adMore.

I have an admore in my V46. But at some point, it decided to blow its brains out. I'm not replacing it. But I did wrap the paper backing on the reflectors with SOLAS Tape cut outs. Shine a light on them, you'll see me.

Edit: I went looking for who supplied the kit, it was Alex at Realtime Industries! Here's a link to the thread in the other sandbox that smells like kitty shit.

I'm tentative on the idea of adding lights at best...
I think one could do just as well or better than Admore/Givi by just buying LED strip and wiring it up yourself using automotive connectors

You could...but the plug and play Admore wiring harness worked for me. I'm sure Ray will hook you up, once he gets back from the VA tech day.

Yeah.. but half the fun of farkeling is farkeling on the cheap...
From what I glean so far it looks as if one could pull it off most excellent for very little $.
Admore's cost, once converted from USD's is unjustifiable... Bordering on ridiculous.

Admore fan-boi here. I have two of their kits installed - one in my Givi, and one 'universal' kit on my side bags.

Their stuff is worth the price of admission and - HEY! - they're Canadian.

Admore's customer service is, without a doubt, the best. When we went to install the universal kit at one of the early Owosso Tech Days, the kit didn't work. I sent 'em an email and they told me to send a portion of my kit back, which I did, and they sent me a replacement, which they did. To this day I have no idea if the portion that I sent back to them ever actually got to them, but the portion they sent to me arrived and it's been running fine ever since. The kit in my Givi has been rockin' from day 1, also installed at an Owosso Tech Day. And, as ETJ mentioned, their plug-n-play harness rocks.

I bought some waterproof self adhesive LED strip today... 2m, $10...
Gonna experiment with it.
My idea is to make the lower lenses on the V47 running lights and the top lenses brake lights.

I'm pretty sure the connector shorted when Line get her foot tangled in it, causing the smoke to be let out. She hilarious to watch getting on and off the bike wearing armored pants, and, a rain-suit. That girl ain't no ballerina LOL! I'm quite sure Admore's customer service is the yardstick by which all other companies should be compared, but I'm pretty sure, at some point, they draw the line and at the acts of Line. (er.. line, Line.. you know what I meant).

I know what you mean. Sooze is a lot of things. Graceful getting on and off the bike? Not so much.

You could just send Admore an email - you never know, and there's nothing to lose, only gain.

The waterproof LED strip I bought shines bright... Under the red lenses of the V47 they are more than adequate.
I figure once I source the right connectors (Eastern Beaver looks like they have 'em) I'll be able to fabricate a plug and play harness similar to the Admore unit...

I had a givi setup in my E55 rigged to run as running lights on one 9 volt battery. It’d run a week of commutes on one battery.

So far so good..
LED strips installed into the lid lenses of the V47...
Bottom lenses... 'Think it'll be running lights or... Maybe make it ALL brake lights.. Or maybe two LED's as runners and the rest as Brake lights... Not sure...
Turns out I can buy the P&P harness from Admore for around $40 delivered... Probably worth it rather than DIY fabricating.

Testing looks good... Strips light up nicely.
I'm using white LED's... Under the lenses they shine red...

So far into it for about $22. With the cost of the Admore harness I'm thinkin' It'll come in at about $65
