You got the right fuse, I assume?
Note: Only powered with ignition on.

Other than that, I can't help.

Have you tested with a volt meter, or just like a USB plug-in device? I had a USB plug-in that was bad, socket was actually working.

Even though the schematic isn't clear about it, there is a coupler for the Aux Power plug behind the fairing. There are three couplers in the same spot, the Left Turn Signal, the Aux Power Coupler and the Accessory Box Solenoid coupler. These couplers are shown in section 2 of the FSM Cable Routing. Item 14 below:

Img coming soon. Dunno why normally good Smugmug is slow today.

Image

The power for coupler 14 comes directly from the Aux Power fuse.

Edit - what Alan (ionbeam) said...

Next steps would be to pull the side panel and check to ensure that the plug on the back side of the outlet didn't come off or loose. From there, trace the wire back through the harness, checking connectors, etc.

Any other work done on the bike lately?

Tech day in the spring here in Michigan (most likely)- bring it, we'll keep Barry away from it and sort it out...

That wire will handle 5A, so you can put a 5A fuse in it if you want... use voltmeter.... check any USB or device you have plugged into it. Should be no need to go fishing for connectors.....

Confirm the socket is hooked up and a PO hasn’t repurposed it...

I've tried three different adapters plugged in, with the ignition switch "on"

haven't tried the volt meter, that's a good idea.

Yes, good to know and thanks for that schematic.

I'll get under the front end and see if things are still buttoned up tight.

Great idea - many thanks.!

PO didn't mention anything about anything repurposed, albeit that could be the culprit.

I'll chase that down too.

I might just wait for the TechDay to figure it out too...great idea.!

Thanks for the reply

really -- 5A -- welp, with that I might get back into the fuse dept and spice up that connection.

Thanks for your reply.

Recently swapped mine out for two-port USB. Not an easy task, but ionbeam is correct: there is a diconnect coupling up high behind the pairing, and mine was thickly covered in road grime. A cleaning might be in order, after you check it for 12vdc with the ignition switch on.

I would never try to "out think" the engineers that spec's the fuse for that circuit. DO NOT OVERLOAD IT by swapping in a higher amp fuse. Why not just stuff a penny in there instead? Because it's unwise.

Duh, Pennies don't fit. Dimes are much closer. That is what I use.
