Picked it up from the first valve check at just shy of 40,000 miles. All were in spec.... still feel better having had it done. Washed it for the first time in a month of rainy riding. I think it’s probably a pound lighter.

Removed the cover in preparation for a possible ride tomorrow. Mid 50s and sunny forcast. First time since mid november 2019.

Cold, Rain, Gale force winds. Pick two. That's been the weather in north Texas lately.

I got suited up, put the sun shield on my helmet, disconnected the battery tender, and turned the bike on to nothing. Stupid switch on the battery tender got knocked over to 6V.

Guess I'll find out later if I need a new battery.

Sorry to hear that. At least you correctly diagnosed the problem as a stupid switch.

How is that possible? Sounds like a design flaw to me. I would expect that a bit of tape (or drop of glue) would fix that problem.

Installed the new LED's. Pretty simple although a bit tight working on the right side and difficult to get the boot off.

Woohoo...managed to get 185 miles of two wheeled therapy in. Sunny and 45 when I left, sunny and 47 when I got home, although most of the ride was overcast, and it never actually reached the predicted high of 53, it still was a great day.

Rode to work this morning. Bit chilly when I left the house at 28 but should break 50 for the ride home.

The switch will no longer be a switch when I'm done with it.

This weekend was nice. Rode my FJR till the map turned blue.

Beautiful place at the end of the Ozello trail. I stop here almost every Sunday morning.

"THIS" looks like a blast for sure. I believe you live close enough where you can make a day ride out of a trip there. That would be a good feeling when you ask yourself where to ride today and you can shoot up to that area for lunch and some good photos like those or just make a loop ride through there for the day. I always look forward to my 3 day weekends there multiple times a year. About a 130 miles from my home so if I am going to make that ride I might as well stick around awhile. Hard to leave after 3 days as there is so many riding choices. Never gets old.

Not very surprised the photographers were out on your ride. I was staying up there in late Oct and heading home on a cold morning with big rain in the forecast for the whole day. The rain was right on our doorstep and we hoped to outrun it. We planned to head out through the Gap and then FH's Pkwy. There was nobody at the Gap. Total Deadsville. I thought the world was coming to an end and I was the only one who did not know it  The photographers were out that day too. I think we woke them up when we came around the corner. As soon as the the weather looks good for a couple days I am heading that way. Can't wait.

It’s 128 miles from my house to the Dragon, and that’s the direct route. I’ve done it and surrounding roads in a day more times than I can count. I ride a bunch of curvy roads to and from 129. It’s a nice area to ride in.
