Today I reached the 100,000 mile mark on my 09 FJR. Today I got a photo of the odometer with 87927 miles. The original instrument cluster was replaced at 12,080 miles under the YES plan so I have no proof via photo. Whatever. I am content with this accomplishment.

Rode my coworkers '06 to work this morning. Kind of nice having a second FJR at my disposal.

Did the 16K oil change a little late. Switched from conventional 10W40 yamalube to TOPCOAT F11.

Rode my clean bike to work. I need to get gas at lunch. Every time I do that I get lost, there seems to be some type of warp in time/space that never lets me find my way back to work for hours.

Rode it to work. Again. I pulled my recently washed and clean FJR out of the garage onto wet roads on the promise of SUN this afternoon. I now have a FJR that needs washing; I made it 3 days before my wash wore off. This morning the weather person was explaining that a blue sky is actually normal and nothing to be afraid of when we go outside today.

I'm hoping to get out for a ride tomorrow after a run to the dump. The 200km I have in so far this season fills me with sadness.

Installed all new brakes pads in the front. Rear caliper pads are fine.

I tried to remove the rear wheel for a tire change but couldnt loosen the nut...go to auto store, buy impact socket, remove nut. Take wheel & tire to mechanic to get tire mounted. Start job to lube shifter pivot, heat hex bolt for 15 minutes with hottest soldering iron to soften threadlocker, attempt removal of bolt with impact wrench, shatter impact wrench to hex adaptor, try ordinary allen wrench with no success, go into the house and call it a day. I guess the dealers going to get this one.

I got the axle nut off finally with a 3’ long bar. Odd, because I’m the one who did it up. I gave up trying to remove the shift lever cover assembly.
