Soaked the bugs off the shield. Swapped out a rear peg for the cooler mount. Plugged in my helmet. If I feel like it when I get up in the morning, I’m riding my dirty bike to Tellico Plains, Tn, then to Deal’s Gap, then to 28 or Suches.

Ordered my own Nomar tire changer. Been having a friend with one letting me use his and helping me change tires for several years and decided I want one of my own.

Let me preface this by saying that I was good with the factory seat. As I had more and more pain in my left leg I used a Corbin with some success. I finally had a hip replaced and went back to the factory seat and now a Yamaha Comfort seat. Thi works well for me. Multiple 300-400 mile days are a joy.

Yesterday I swapped out my Comfort seat with a Sargent World Sport. Got a long ride day tomorrow so we'll see but first impression- it's shaped a lot like a Corbin, bucket like. Know what I mean? But with significantly more padding than a Corbin. So I'm gonna chance it and ride with it tomorrow and hopefully I won't regret it and the end of the day.

It’s what I’ve used for a while now. I think you’ll like it.

With the decline of sport touring motorcycles there are fewer fewer choices out there. I want to thank Ray for sending his touring Vstream to Texas at very good price. The tall touring Vstream is good but just a bit tall even in the lowest position. The bike came with a Puig windscreen, a very nice looking screen and it caused a lot of head buffeting for me. Ray's old screen got me home and more.

Today I try the screen. My wife and I are going for a ride to Pullman Washington the town of her alma mater, Washington State University - home of the Cougars.

Rode it to Tellico Plains. Skyway to Dragon. Dragon to foothills. Then Ocoee Scenic Byway to Chilhowee, then Copperhill, then home. Back tire is about done. Haven’t looked at the front yet.

I’ve got a new set of PR4GT’s still in the box. Yep. Dennis Kirk shipped them in a box. I’ve received them from Revzilla before loose with nothing but a sticky label. Not even plastic
wrap. They threw them off a bridge and some guy in a van brought them to me. So DK won on price AND packaging on this set. :)

I was just posting about this in another thread. Corbin seats have a perfect shape, but just need a little more padding.

The way I ride that tar would be done. But give it to jwilly and he could get a day ride or two out of that edge. Good job punishing the tar. It was bad.

Thought about washing it down, but had to take care of the truck and camping gear first. Then got busy with some yard work. Maybe will get to it after dinner. Yeah, it is my turn to cool tonight. Mama was going solo for 10 days.

I am going to start a new thread about tire changers after a bit. Chuck just ordered one and after what I saw John do to my front Shinko, I gotta believe I will change more often and actually save money.

This is the fourth front of the year and the first (of the year) that wasn’t used up to the edge. Kind of shameful how much is left on the edges. PR3, which I don’t normally use. R5GT and PR4GT usually wear much more evenly, for me.

Tomorrow it will be replaced.

Kevin did Jason, Marty and me in. I'm gonna have a pneumatic changer sooner than later. Hell, I even got the wife's approval last night. My NoMar is gonna go the way of the covered wagon.

Wow. I know we Atlanta guys have been discussing it. I have to change both tires tomorrow. Upper 80’s to low 90’s. By hand. May serve to revise and extend my position on equipment.

And I was already circling the drain on no-mar.
