... but not in my neighborhood, either. I'm sure my HOA has a fine just waiting for anyone with loud "mufflers". His Wheatness is wise to show discretion, AFTER he's healed well enough to ride.

Watched my FJR ride off in a trailer today while I got in the car and drove to work.

Actually the FJR runs fine. It just needs the second valve check. It's a little over due. The dealer is an hour away so my wife volunteered to take it up there. She will not ride the FJR. So in the trailer it went.

Also, my VT1300 needs a new back tire. So she loaded it up too.

Killing two birds with one stone.

Nice to have a wife that doesn't mind hauling your bikes to the shop for you while you are busy.

I told her to be really careful with my FJR. She just laughed and said you wouldn't feel bad for long if something happened to it. You would just run out and get you one of those Blue ones! She knows me well.

Squirrel is less gamey than gator, I agree.

True story - my MIL grew up poor. Really poor. Like "we sometimes had to hunt what we ate" poor. She said they use to eat a lot of squirrels. Her and her siblings would fight over the brain. She said it was the best part. Couldn't believe it when she told me that.

I use to visit an Aunt and Uncle in LA (Lower Alabama). My uncle would take me squirrel hunting. We would clean them and my Aunt would cook them.
She fried them for a bit, then stewed them in a gravy. Served over rice or mashed potato.
Damn, it was good eating.
