Serves him right. You should have ridden hard, and made him scream like a little girl.

Just kidding, that ride of shame is not fun...especially if you have cracked ribs.

Rode to work this morning also. 35 on the way in, should be mid 40's this afternoon. Took a decent ride yesterday of about 140 miles. Need to take the long way home all week and get more miles on before Saturday. That's the last day of the Polar Bear Rider's Challenge I signed up for at a local Harley Davidson dealership. Have about 2600 miles so far since December 1. Trying to represent the FJR crowd in the sea of pirates.

Day 126 -- again I walked past my motorcycle without riding it. We had an outlier hot day last Friday but my driveway still has about 25' that is covered in 4 inches of ice separating the garage door from the end of the driveway. If I could get my bike out I would have roads still crusted completely white with salt. We are in the spring cycle of doom where the sun is warm enough to melt roadside snow banks in spite of air temps letting the melt water run across the roads. Every evening it goes well below freezing, turning the melt water into hard ice so the towns have to salt the roads. Some years I can start riding in February... this isn't one of those years. It's still too frigging cold to even work on my bike. PMS.

I have vague recollection of those early spring/late winter issues. I empathize completely.

Alan - I'll nominate you for the 2018/2019 PMS award. I can truly sense your frustration.

Changed the oil on my red honey yesterday, and took 'er out for a short 50 mile stint in the morning. Getting kind of itchy to dome DO some camping.

Walked by Halle this morning, gave her a pat on the seat as I hopped in the truck. Ironically the same pat that my wife gets on the rear when we know we are gonna have some alone time later.
I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Put on a front tire that has some tread on it. Getting set for Sunday's Appalachian ramble. The tire should get me there and back again.

Ordered a new car tire for Bob's Tech Day next month. Think I'll be driving up, still not too confident with the new hip supporting the bike's weight.

I grabbed the Sena 20 and updated the firmware. Somehow went from 1.7.7 to 2.0. I guess I missed one or two during the winter.

Rode it to the office. Got home and got ready to transform the bike from commuter and canyon carver to LD beast. The peg lowering brackets, Cee Bailey shield, and laam seat don’t see everyday service. But for TOH, I want every comfort.
