I did order tires last night. However, I'm not going to try to measure up to Bill, I'm fairly certain I don't have a BBG in me anywhere. Especially with 103F weather around here.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Looked at my tires. I have new ones in my garage awaiting.
There is still some life in the rubber, the trick will be to achieve cords pulling INTO the garage and have the following day be nice and cool for the rubber swap and still have enough sun to warm the new tires. On yesterday's ride the heavy truck steering was noticeable and the tires rumbled and wailed when leaned over. I have a bit under 10k miles on as set of PR4 GTs and I'm just now getting into the wear bars front & rear. On my Gen 1 I regularly got >12K miles with PR2s and I typically get 10.5k miles with PR4 GTs on both the Gen I and Gen III. If I get The Right Day™ first I may pull these tires early.

I can't wait till December. Looks like I'll be sweating and cursing at the tire changer in August.

The rain started early, and ended late...it ruined both the fast riding and the views of the scenery..Tomorrow I start across the prairies..

1350 km or so? Are you taking one day or two - not a lot of reason to stop or dawdle along the way between Coleman and Winnipeg!CollingsBob wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2019 8:11 pm The rain started early, and ended late...it ruined both the fast riding and the views of the scenery..Tomorrow I start across the prairies..

I’ll stop for the night to sample the pleasures of.....Moose Jaw, then having sated my culinary lusts, I shall head for Winnipeg, passing through that veritable jewel of the west - Regina (scarcely untouched by any technological advances since being established), and thence home to the waiting embrace of my charming ( and delightful) wife who no doubt will reward my safe return home with....a request that I scoop the turds out of the cats litter box.FJRoss wrote: ↑Tue Aug 13, 2019 7:07 am1350 km or so? Took a ride around the block, up into the Virginia mtns of the Floyd area. Checked out a few roads I randomly picked on the gps both to ride them and work in more detail with routing on the fly. Good day!

I rode out of the mountains onto the prairies for 696km..Coleman Ab. to Moose Jaw Sask. I was surprised to find that the distance and the time required to traverse it are the same regardless of which way it is travelled.

Ok...I’m wrestling with the concept that you believe that you have peers, apart from the strict legal interpretation of your peers as required for a jury trial...

Just made service chores easier. Got a used HR lift table yesterday. I am building some plywood platforms to put my feet when I ride it on. Should be able to use the pipe stand for front tire service while on the lift too.
