Walked up to my FJR again this morning, and sat on it all the way to work.

Love and kisses to all y'all in the frozen tundra of North America. In two months, you'll be happy as clams in the mud, while I'll be sweating before I even get her backed out of the garage. 8-)

I moved mine to a different spot in the garage...
As I mentioned before in another thread, I'm storing a buddy's FS800GS at my place for the winter...
I moved the bikes so that "just in case" he wants to retrieve his bike he can do so easily...
It's supposed to get up to 14 degrees on Thursday... He's already booked off work "sick" for the day.

I'll save my sick days for later ;-)

Wow, I thought that 14 degrees was a little chilly to be riding, then remembered that Celsius stuff...about 60F or so would definitely be great weather!

Rode it to work this morning. Bike exhibited a small handling issue. It simply did NOT want to turn into the parking lot. Perhaps in the interest of my personal safety I should have just kept going........I think it's trying to tell me it needs a nice road trip soon.

I'm told that sometimes horses can get ornery about not obeying to their rider. I've wondered about that at times...

FINALLY got to ride it to work again! Only one riding day in Feb, and only one other short hop in March so far. I had to consciously think through my routine while putting on my gear to make sure I didn't forget something.

I'm sensing the start of the immersion from hibernation. There's a tinge in the air or something....

For those of us who hibernate, this is a very real phenomena.

It's in the air here. Extremely faintly.

That big storm that bombed the Central states brought +7C temps (45F) and rain yesterday. This brought out the potholes. I bottomed out my truck coming to work this morning while going 2 mph. They are that bad in spots. We lost about a third of snow cover.

Today is March 15, essentially, I'm off to the Ramble in 45 short days. If I were a genuinely smart guy, I'd not come back.

Took the GSX-S1000 for a quick blast on my last official day off of work for Spring Break, even though there's still a weekend. Then I got home and loaded kiddo up on the FJR for a quick spin around the neighborhood. Good times. Weather was a tad chilly in the mid fifties.

I’ve worked 12 days straight. So today was perfect for chilling at the house. To hell with that.

Rode 129 and the cherohala. Maiden voyage for the dual remote heat troller. It was cold as hell. Troller worked great.

Rode 420 miles, riding 28, 129, and the Skyway both ways. Flipped off Lumberg as he rode past the Gap!

Pulled Halle out of hibernation. Checked the pressures in the new tires and did a pre-ride check. Tooled around the neighborhood for a few min. Let her idle to kick the radiator fan to kick on. Then went for another small ride around town. All systems looked good.

Arranged the garage to put her in the launching spot. Next Friday, I am south bound and down. Preston and I are gonna terrorize the southland for a little before I head over toward the big ditch to see some friends. Got some other folks I wanna see also. Maybe even get over toward SC. But we really have no itinerary Just ride the good stuff. Going home now to check out the camping gear.

Planning thread coming soon.

To paraphrase the Great MLK, Thank God, I am free, FREE at last! Taking my last blood thinner tonight. Let the riding commence.

I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

Rode 360 miles with a couple of my local buddies. North GA and into NC. Came across a dude that tossed his bike off the top of Wolf Pen Gap.. He rode bitch on the back of my bike and we dropped him off at TWO in Suches. He said the ride to Suches was more frightening than the actual wreck. :)

I’d be more than happy to swear under oath that having watched you ride for many, many miles, there is no way in hell you could be speeding through those curves. -0face
