I'm getting too old and fat to dig up and replace fence posts, but guess what my day entailed?
What did you do to your FJR today?

See, if you had a Monster Fergusson with a front end loader you would only have to wrap and attach a chain. The tractor would do the rest.gixxerjasen wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 6:54 pmI'm getting too old and fat to dig up and replace fence posts, but guess what my day entailed?

Mounted my bag protectors, then took it out for a ride. 50+ degrees and sunny.

That's hard to do when the cheap crap fence post our builders used broke off under ground at the concrete block. Double sigh, I also busted off a sprinkler head in the process so I get to do some more digging. And I got more fence posts to replace. Riding the FJR is way more fun than all of that. Wish I'd been riding.

Took a little get reacquainted ride after prying on the new take off. Just wandered around on little country roads I've never been on. Ended up going 100 miles before gettin home for lunch and a square dance.

300 miles with 3 local buds. Fog this morning, but we just slowed it down until it lifted. 57 degrees early, warmed up to 70. Nice day.

Left my FJR covered in its dust cover as I remounted the Clearwater Darlas on my GSA using some new lower fork mounts.

Checked air pressure and as expected it was low. Added some Late Winter Air even though I know I will need to flush and replace with Early Spring air in just a couple months. Fired it up and let it idle for about 5 minutes.
I have every intention of riding it to work tomorrow. Kind of excited, it hasn't moved in a long time.

It got up to 69f here today so my son and I went for a nice 2 hr back roads ride. Then I finished the Admore led light kit install on my Givi trunk. I borrowed someone's link they put up with the same set up and same bike. Liking it so far!

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I rode it to work. I wasn't very smooth, I went pretty slow but the bike was clean and shiny and I did ride it.
It's almost sad how much of my identity is linked to that FJR. It sure was nice to just ride.

RFH, now repeat that for 679 more days and then we can talk about how much your identity is linked to it! This week has been my longest no-riding week since back in 2016!

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
With all due respect to the Champion daily rider, bonding and identity with a bike has nothing to do with how much time you are on it...but how much you appreciate it and make it a part of your travel and vacation plans.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
It was 71 degrees F warmer today than last Thursday, so I took a 60 mile ride. Lots of wet road and some ice in the shade but it was a nice February ride.

Maybe I found a way to get rid of my name I poorly chose based on the bike I was riding at the time...

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Rode it to work...45 degrees, fog and drizzle for my ride to work this morning...supposed to clear up and drop into the low 30s for my ride home. Riding in NE Ohio in February...priceless
