Me too...me too. Guess I won't be attending Intech's next Tech Day event. :(
Or....

You could buy back the salvage and have the most epic Tech Day event ever!!!! :D
Yeah, but....Bob would be very upset 'cause the bike would be in his garage WAY too long. He'd be bitchin' at me to get it out of there! :D :D :D That's probably an inside joke only some may understand...from a couple years ago when I attended his "rainy day" tech day event.

Speaking of parts scavenging, I was in my garage yesterday and realized I have a few things left over from parts swap projects if anyone's interested. They are:

OEM mirrors - left & right
OEM motor
Delkevic SL10 14" Stainless Steel Round Mufflers - left & right

Might be some other things but these stood out right away.

I let a dealer sniff over it. They offered $6,000 for a stock 2014 with 84,000 miles. The bike was filthy. They don’t care. Just wanted to confirm it wasn’t wrecked.

Rode mine to work for the first time this week. (Rain and cold combined.)

And now, thanks, Bill Lumberg, I know my FJR's worth less than 6 grand.

If you buy an FJR as an investment Hud, you are a silly man. :D

And um...the price someone else is willing to pay for YOUR FJR and its "worth" are two entirely different things.

I rode it to work, and agreed to trade it for a 2018ES. I just have to find someone to help me get the Clearwater’s off of my 2014. That’s beyond my technical comfort level. I’ll be taking everything else off tonight or tomorrow night. Trade may be next week due to Clearwater’s.

I opted not to pay for Y.E.S. at the dealer. Once I’ve got the bike, I’ll do a lunch run and pay cash at D&H in Cullman.

I told my dealer I was opting out of their Y.E.S. because of their cost and I would buy it through another location. The dealer asked the other price; I named Cullman's price. The dealer I was buying from then agreed to match Cullman's price once they verified it. Done. First time I have ever purchased an extended warranty for anything. The good news -- so far I haven't needed it. The bad news -- so far I haven't needed it. :|

This shop asked $800 for four years of yes. I got them down to just under $600 and decided a ride to Alabama would be nice. Pulling lights off tonight. Pulling everything else I can find bolts for tomorrow. Should pick up the new one Saturday. It’s been an ordeal. I have a lot of good times wrapped up in the 2014. Hard to part with.

Congrats Bill on your new bike - don't forget you've got another gear now!!

On my 1st 2014, the dealer came close enough to matching the Culman price, so I bought it. After that bike was totaled, and I replaced it with another one just like it, the warranty was transferred to the new bike, and I just paid the few months pro-rate. Cool deal.

Oh - and that was 3 years ago and I haven't used mine either....

I had to use my warranty. I bought my first YES from the dealer with my 2014 fjr too.

Picture, if you will, Tony Stark running to save Pepper, as the various pieces of the iron man suit fly in from all directions and assemble on him. That’s kind of what my red 2014 has been doing for four uears. It has slowly picked up luggage/frame guards, lights, and a number of other pieces. The strip down is about to commence.

Curious things new bikes are. I bet the new one is upset that it hasn't ever been to Bucees. :D

Well, hell, Mr. Lumberg. I've got a full calendar this Saturday and riding with the SC posse Sunday. If you're postponing until next weekend and want a sidekick, drop me a PM.

Like many around here, I'd sure like to see this here "Matt Paint" stuff.

And -- on my way to work this morning -- I rode past a Google Street View car in the Cumberland Interchange and waved maniacally.

You will get a good example Sunday when Tommy848 shows up at the Waffle House.
