Re: Should I be worried?

Post by bungie4 »

Some years ago, I was working in a warehouse. My boss decides to hold his annual sales meeting and invites all the sales staff from all over Ontario.
My boss is a raging alcoholic.
He invites me to the festivities.
We go out for dinner.
I learn one of the guys got snipped not 3 hours prior to the supper.
After they supper, we all had back to the office where they talk business for about 8 minutes, then head out for drinks.
6 large draft and 5 B52's later, buddy who got snipped realizes he hasn't gone for a rat since before the procedure.
We all accompany him into this tiny bathroom. Like 8 of us.
Were making pee jokes, and running the water and generally doing are damnedest to be obnoxious while buddy tries to squirt something... anything out.

After about 5 minutes of this, the seal is broken, the freezing has long since come out... and he begins to scream.

We all bolt from this tiny little washroom with the man inside screaming. Ya, it doesn't take much imagination to figure out what everybody is thinking.

After a bit he comes out, and resumes drinking with us.

12 large draft and 13 B52's later over about 4 hours and 140lb Steve is _fucked_

and I'll save the rest of the story for another time...

Thanks for the input. Im not a newbie or probie. I've been riding for the last 45 years, I've had my FJR for the last 4. prior to the FJR I had a Vrod.

1. Leave the rubber tub that covers the metal tube alone.
2. Ride more. :)
4. Always have a bag of peas in freezer. if not
3. Most important ---- always wear a cup when riding. does bubble wrap count.

4. But, since I cannot see the hydraulic tube under the frame, is it easy enough to slide it up or should I. I have OCD and like things to be uniform.

Lets see what other conversations this will bring up. You guys are worse than my wife. cant seem to stay on subject. :P :bustinlove: :zombwobb:

1. Never try to steer a thread back on it's tracks here. This thread is like a Mississippi leg hound. In the words of the Cousin Eddie: He’s cute, ain’t he? Only problem is, he’s got a little bit of Mississippi leg hound in him. If the mood catches him right, he’ll grab your leg, and just go to town. You don’t want him around if you’re wearing short pants if you know what I mean. A word of warning though: If he does lay into you, it’s best to just let him finish.

2. Yes.
3. Yes
4. Consider this OCD therapy. Leave it be. :D

You gotta be kidding me, man! We stayed on the subject until you got a reasonable answer. After that, we drift a little, OK? What more do you want?

And if you think we don't know who makes a VRod ... well, that's the only H-D bike I ever considered, but I couldn't feel comfortable sitting like that.

The Street Rod was the only HD I've ever come close to liking. Brembo's, inverted forks and mid-mount controls.

V-Rods don't ever get accepted by the rest of The Motor Company crowd.

Little red headed step children with three green eyes. They don't make the right potato sound...not to be trusted or associated with.

nice looks just like mine without all the farkles. Why did you sell it. I sold mine because it was a bitch on my back if I rode more than 100 miles in an hour. It was fricking fast.

V-Rods have a sweet motor in them, but the one I test rode had the controls so far forward I had to shuffle side to side to brake or shift with my midget legs.

You could have strapped a couple of square pieces of 2 X 4’s on the pegs.

Better yet platform shoes from the 70’s.

You think your funny, but our little buddy Jasen has that exact pair of boots and sports them like a champ. Problem is, as Wheaties pointed out, he still has issues reaching the pegs. It's quite the dance to watch him ride!

Years ago, a "buddy" of mine had his done on like a Friday afternoon. I think he took one day off of work and came back on Sunday night, as we worked Graves from 0000-0800. We promptly got into a foot chase and epic fight. He started puking and pulled down his pants because, "Something's WRONG!!!!!!!!!"

His nutsack was the size of a grapefruit. It was like a train wreck. I always wanted to look and now was my chance. I was so intimidated! It was huge! I wanted to touch it but he wouldn't let me! Poor fucker spent the next 3 days in the hospital and a other 5 off of work. Brrrrrrrr...Gives me chills just thinking about it. Now, 18 years later, it's funny. The look on his face was epic.

Good catch Andrew. AJ is going to have to change his secret code now that you are onta him!

I bet he sneaked into the hospital when the guy was sleeping and rubbed his balls for half an hour. ;)

The problem is the gap between the heel and the foot. The peg slides in there and then I'm back to not being able to reach anything. Need something with a solid piece all the way back. Either that or just move the damn pegs back where they belong.

Well all right!!! Finally, some fun shit on a Friday!

Jasen, my friend. Your Kiss Fan Club Boot days are well behind ya. I know - it's hard. I'm not gonna be teasing my hair any time ever again either. We just have to face facts.

Speaking of moving pegs back.... One day a long time ago, a good friend of mine who lives in Augusta, Georgia offered to let me ride "Pinkie Tuscadero". Now, if you are old enough, you'll get the pun. This friend is arguably one of the best riders I have ever met. She's a full timer with quite a stable of motorcycles to suit her needs. Does all of her own wrenching, too.

Anyway, "Pinkie" was an early 90s Yamaha V-Max with TONS of motor mods and some rear sets. The super trap exhaust was ridiculous. Pinkie was the bike she rode to the downtown strip on a Friday night.

Oh - I almost forgot, she painted the tank and all plastics the most gorgeous hot pink color.

Oh what the hell, Pants will try anything once.

Before I threw the leg over, she warned me. "Now Pants, this ain't no twisty bike. Wait until we get to the slab before you get stupid or she'll pitch you like a sway back mule."

Yes Ma'am. No problem.

So we cruise toward the highway and I'm trying to figure out just what the f@$k I am riding. My balls have been pushed up to the bottom of my belly button and I've got a crick in my neck, but the exhaust is stupid good and as much as I hate it, I kind of like it.

We merge onto the highway and I downshift it to second and light the candle. Holy shit - what a ride!!! it was totally out of control, and I couldn't get enough of it. Thank heavens Barney Fife took the evening off, cause otherwise, I might have rotted in the Augusta jail. I took a few turns on the beast and then existed the highway and shut it down.

(Pants) "Well, how did I do?"

(Jennifer) "Hell if I know, all I saw is you twisting the wrist, and then it was a pink blur!"

(Pants) "I think Pink is my color"

(Jennifer) "Yeah, right....."

Stay thirsty, my friends.....
