Forum outage - 8-24-17

Post by extrememarine »

Today, there was an outage of the forum for about 2-3 hours. The cause was El Toro Joe browsing the site from work on an iPad.

Seriously - the outage was tied to some sort of virus attack the webhost experienced on their servers. The shut everything down for a period of time; all of my hosted sites were offline.

Thank you for the notices, emails, texts, etc. The best venue to get info out to the group when this happens would be the FJRiders FB group - I posted an update there today once I figured out what the issue was.

Thank you. It's Friday, and the workday would be tough without all y'all.

Eerie! I'm in the middle of reading a book called, "Zero Day". A little dated with its references but quite the suspense/thriller but the author's tech usage doesn't pull you out of the story with glaring errors. Consider that things have only gotten more sophisticated and widespread since it was first published and you have the stuff like above going on.
