I refuse to believe that your welcoming statement had to include a criticism of his writing. I have no problem telling someone where to get off, but I was raised to be courteous to guests.
Obviously, when you go visit someone's house for the first time, you expect the host to berate you for the color of your shoes and ask you to go change them. You live in a different world than I. But enough of "As the World Turns..."

An invitation to MRB06ae:

If you still hang out here -- and I sincerely hope you do -- this thread illustrates two things about this forum.

(1) We speak our minds, and ...
(2) Just like the dynamics in every family, we piss off each other every now and then.

Please note that are there are a few among us, including me, that appreciate proper spelling and appropriate punctuation.

So, welcome, brother!

Thanks for the warm, kind, thoughtful, entertaining, hilarious welcomes!

I used to be 5'7", but that was decades ago.

Look, three paragraphs for those that cannot cope otherwise!

I might make it. I might not.
Now I'm home with THE VIRUS! Still waiting on the results of the test. The 1st 3 days , I had a fever. When the fever left, I had no symptoms for a day. I thought that I was over it. The next day(today), I started developing a mild cough. That's where I am now. I'll probably be OK?

The good news is that my son just safely returned home to NC from a 8 month deployment in the Middle East!

Chin up, brother! Covid is a scary diagnosis, despite “only” killing 2%.

I grew up in Due West, SC, and travel past Lexington on the way to see Mom. Thank your son for his Service.

Keep us updated on how well you're doing with the virus. Healing thoughts sent your way. Please thank your son for his service. I'm glad he's home safely. That ought to help you heal knowing that your son is OK.

:D On Monday the 20th was when I received the official results that I do/did have the virus. My cough never really progressed into anything significant. It's like the cough I have as a year-round allergy symptom. just an occasional little nuisance cough. So I guess I'm over it now.

I live in Charleston. (My daughter has a house in Lexington, too.)
