What really works well is two wheel drive on a Ural with 41 screaming Roosky horsepower! Have not fallen down even once.

No, have not fallen once, but too much wodka makes me womit. (Thank you Tommy Smothers)

Big John - while the others "circle" around the "knobby" issues with their "shinkos", I did some rudimentary research on what I consider to be a much more important matter:

Good

Local

Pecan

Pie.

You may be pleased to know that I've found a couple of worthy candidates, and would love an opportunity to get your opinion on this important matter the next time you find your way south. Hopefully sooner, rather than later.....

In Louisiana, generally... no. Our Pecan Pie is loaded with halves on top of it, and the filling is semi-solid. Best served with a good cup of Joe.

IMNSHO, more liquid fruit filled pies are best served A la Mode, Nothing like a little warm blueberry juice getting into the vanilla....

Shit.. my mouth just watered. Hold fast, Oark Store (Arky…), I'll be there relatively soon....

Let’s be absolutely clear here. No one and I mean NO ONE is gonna tell me I can’t put ICE CREAM ON ANY PIE I WANT. If the mood suits me I will put ice cream on a cake from Dairy Queen. JS!

I often have found myself when I was not looking, nor did that discovery take place where I thought it would!

I've had pasties about once every year in the UP. They usually offer them with apple sauce at the Berry Patch, where I usually get a slice of blueberry pie a la mode as well. Keeps me content until I get to my destination in Wawa.

I'd heard that.
Here shortly, I'm going to try them in mud-free Death Valley.
When will you be in DV? I'm going the weekend of March 20th. :)
