Rode mine to work this morning. Got a nice ride in Sunday, not real long by FJR standards but better than just my regular commute. Dropped off Dianne's old helmet from our accident at EOM to a friend who is a MSF instructor for use in their classes to show just how much can happen in a low speed accident. I'd offered it to him right after the accident and finally got around to taking it to him. He feels it'll make a nice teaching tool as he knows Dianne and I pretty well and he and I have ridden together several times so it'll help when he tells the story in classes.

Picked up a 04 basket case yesterday. The plan is my oldest is going to put it together at "HIS" house and use it. If he bails then I will let it sit and assemble it after Carver shit is done.

Whined about it still being in the shop. Rode the wife's bullet-bike in to work.

So, if I got this correctly, if the oldest doesn't get it out of there...... it will never get assembled because Carver shit is never done... :bustinlove:

OK off to the shop now, clean up a bit and get ready to install a Traxxion fork spring kit in the FJR..... and move in somebody's Nighthawk project....

Rode it to work. Kind of enjoying having the big shield on and the larger topcase. Sort of a really fast goldwing. The difference the Cee Bailey makes is profound.

Got home and checked sockets and wrenches for the bolts I’ll be touching when my cages get in tomorrow. #t-Rex #belikegriffandwheaty

Rode it to work again. Our area forecast looks decent through Friday so I should be okay.

She's getting a new battery and a thorough 80,000 mile routine maintenance check. Three instances where I had to pop-start it since SFO -- interspersed with long "Honey, I'm charging the battery" rides -- convinced me the battery has reached its end of useful life. Had to spend some money. (Gasp!)

It should be home this evening. The fixer-upper list is long, but it does includes repairing plastics and both bags. Navy metallic paint should complement the original Liquid Graphite.

Rode the FZ-07 into work again today. It floats a little bit at 85 mph.

I really hope you do this. Add in some GT gold and it would be just perfect!

YES!! Six gears leaves first and second very much in wheelie range or tire spinning range. Either is very unsettling when it occurs accidentally.

When I move to north Georgia, and buy a twisty bike, the FZ-07 is on the short list. I like it because it sits pretty tall. Might have to bribe you with lunch, Hud for a test ride on wife's rocket....

Did a clutch soak. As the weather has gotten colder it seems I've been having issues with the clutch plates sticking on my new bike. Bike now has almost 13k on it but almost 6k of those are mine just since 9/27. In the mornings when I leave for work I generally just drift downhill to the main road while I let the bike warm up a little. Past few days when I'd put it into first it would either want to lurch forward even with clutch pulled in or it would almost stall. Clutch plates were very dry when I pulled them so hoping this fixes it.

It does sit tall and you sit mostly upright, but the pegs are also quite high. Riding posture feels like I'm squatting to take a dump in the woods.
