That's the thing about the SE this time of year. A little chilly at O dark thirty for the ride in but perfectly fantastic for the ride home.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I took two bars and drilled the right holes in them and then used an angle grinder to grind the ends so they were hidden, then painted them black. It is uuuuuuugly, but functional for many years now.gixxerjasen wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 2:22 pm dem, that looks 1000% nicer than my Givi2Shad adapter plates. Good thing no one can see them though.

Rode it home from Fredericksburg, VA following my 6th place finish for the PA starter in the Void Rally. I rode as a team with someone I met on ADVRider forum since Dianne isn't yet up to riding.

Link to our SPOT track for the route we rode. Left wrist felt pretty crappy after a while but lots of ibuprofen followed with some alcohol after the event. (Strictly for medicinal purposes)

Oops. Rode it to Mena on the way home from those wonderful NWA roads. Stopped for a break and found this little surprise
200+ miles to get home and not too sure she’ll make it. What do y’all think??

I always say 300 miles when the metal starts showing.... you got less. Blow it up harder so it will last longer.
Maybe a big double wrap with duct tape. Joking, but it has been done.
If you can get it replaced, I'd opt for that.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
Still lots of rubber on the sides but it would all have to be curvy roads to make use of it. I finished a cross continent ride with a rear tire that looked a lot like that when I got home. I've run a few to the belts but don't know if I would chance that for more than 100 very slow and careful miles. Good luck!NTXFJR wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2019 6:15 pm Oops. This was mine - and it looked like I was going to be OK just 600 miles earlier. Don't think I would try it.

Pushed her to the side of the garage as my riding season appears to be done due to reinjury of collarbone. I feel like a northerner again.

Rode my new to me 2014 to work again. Little chilly this morning but not as bad as what we saw over the weekend on the Void Rally.

Re: What did you do to your FJR today?
I'm gonna get the surgery done. Plates and FRankenstein bolts. If that don't do it, my riding days are done....but I think that should do it. I'm sure it will. I've got to do some out west cross country trips. I wanna be with Marty and Jason when they do those 100 Plus sweepers near Mono Lake again...or NorCal.BkerChuck wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 11:58 amReally hate to read this Mark.
