Some of you might have noticed the site was slow to load earlier today. There was a period of time this morning that the site was down around 10:45 this morning.

There was a server issue at the host, and their engineers were already working to resolve it when I got in touch with the help desk. They stated there was an issue causing the server to run slow, which impacted this site along with a couple other customers.

This was not caused by the updates I ran last night. It was not caused by increased membership traffic.

Once again, our early warning system functioned as designed - Thank you Wheaton!

I just thought it (slowness) was my aging iPad. Good to know, and thanks for keeping us updated.

I thought my wife had swapped my blood pressure meds for quaaludes..

I thought Wayne had booted me...so I sent him a text to complain.

Something I've noticed;

Early morning (5-6a) all page loads are really slow, most times I just give up. Afternoon and evening, everything loads quickly.
I'm using my iPad (Safari) on wifi (Fios) full bars. Other sites load normally quick.

Just an observation.

I'll try to get some data from that time frame - good to know...

Got this error when trying to hit the "So.....about all these FJR forums" thread at about 7:49 AM EDT:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@fjriders.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.



Not the first time I have gotten this. First time I remembered to capture it before hitting the back button.

At 8:08 AM EDT I got kicked to the profile page when I clicked on the (In)Tech Day VI thread.

Yeah, that's happened a few times in the last week for me...then other times the board is flying...

The server is finally figuring out who should be eliminated from this forum!!!
