Yup, loob up everything including the well. The T30's I last put on I had to clamp the sidewalls together with a couple of big ass C-clamps to get it on. The sidewalls were just to stiff. I actually bent the rod the bar pivots on!
When its time for them to come off, I"m cutting those bitches off!

PR2s. Easy-Peasy, wear well, too. Plenty grippy. I put PP on the front for local riding in the hills.

I put on rear PR2 takeoff once using only my hands, no spoons, no machine. Yup, they are easy!

The fact that it was 62 degrees and I almost had to turn on the heated grips is worth mentioning.
No kidding. About time to hang up the ventilated gear.
Rode mine to work with a necktie.

I'm convinced that with decent weather, in Arkansas, I could wear out a PR2 rear in about 3,500 miles. Down to the nubb on the outside, and down to the cords in the middle....

Impossible! An FJR cannot lean that far!
Actually, I am convinced YOU could wear out a PR2 in Arkansas in 3500 miles also. As long as you don't have to wait for my slow ass.

Sounds about right...of course, I'm skeered to lean it that far!

The fact that I rode mine to work again is not worth reporting here.

As posted earlier, I rode up into the NC mtns Thursday, it was a chilly 64-ish all day up yonder. Seriously considered something other than my mesh jacket for the first time this yr but I just put on a heavier shirt underneath and toughed it out.

We have out of state company today but I checked my front tire tread today to see whether it could last through EOM...the middle seemed fine...but the sides were more worn than the middle. That's what I get for running with Ashe that one day.
That never would have been the case up North!

We were looking at my front tire the other day. For some reason it looks like a chisel point instead of a nice round tire. I don't get it
.

Left it in the garage, as I am on Irma duty, driving around looking for damaged or twisted traffic lights in Midtown and Downtown.

And you couldn't do that on the back of a feejer??

I have done it on the FJR before, since the bike rides up pedestrian ramps really nicely, and parks on the sidewalk like she belongs there.
Yesterday? Too many branches, puddles, debris, etc in the street.

After the storm I often park the bike and drive the truck for a while. I cannot carry two chainsaws, their fuel and oil, all my electrical tools, two 20 foot towing chains and all the other post storm necessities on the FJR. The FJR does not have 4wd and almost 400 diesel horsepower to help move trees, vehicles and misc. debris.
It is all about using the right tool for the job.

Rode it to work again. Only 20 more years until they force me to stop flying...
