We're only now breaking 70F regularly. Its a veritable heat wave! My freekin' igloo is melting! I'm gonna be homeless.

I was through Sudbury last Monday and the weather was pretty nice. Comfortable riding temperatures. Visiting daughter and family in Winnipeg. Hopefully it will be equally good on the return trip this weekend.

'Just finished moving my handle bars back towards me a notch...
After my recent 1994km ride I think I need to see about sitting a little more "erect" in the saddle.
The adjustment only moves the bars back a few mm (8?), but... It could be just the distance I need to help mitigate the knot I get in my neck/shoulders after 7hrs riding.
If it doesn't help at all... I'll probably go the bar riser route with the MV Motorrad set up.

Hack, you hit on two things that I found for my riding. First is posture, for some reason the FJR encourages poor posture but also punishes for it. I found the same knot for me. Better posture and the MV Motorrad fixed it up for me and it's no longer an issue.

the little rubber boot on the clutch push pin is torn, nothing bound up yet. New cylinder rebuild kit and clutch bushing ordered. Looking hard at replacing headlight bulbs with F2 LED Ray recommends. My maintenance book says it's been 3 yrs since replacing h/l bulbs, surely I can justify spending $$ now, eh.
Got the rubber boot and bushing replaced, installed the F2 LED head light bulbs. Went for a night ride, need to do some tweaking.

Took my FJR for a short ride yesterday. It was 86 degrees by 9:00am. Just wanted to ride it a little.

I rode the Valkyrie on Saturday. It needed a new tire. I got elected to take it to the dealership. I don't mind it's actually two dealers side by side. They have Indian, Honda, Suzuki, KTM. Yamamha is just a few doors down. Lots of stuff to look at and wish I could take home.
They had an FTR1200 with carbon fiber add ons and after market exhaust. I could have some fun on that one.

Rode it to work. In between days of storms.

This morning on Old County Rd. I saw a Harley coming from the opposite direction. Just as it was a few car lengths away he waved and I recognized him. It was the Plaistow (NH) cop. I was going 45 in a 25. A short distance behind the Harley was a SUV. Also a Plaistow cop. No radar detector beeps and no blue lights. As I approached the road to the ball field off of Old County Rd. another SUV came around the corner. Also a Plaistow cop. This time I did have a chance to slow to 30ish before we passed each other. Again, no radar detector beeps and no blue lights. If I had been stopped it would have been because my stupidity earned it  Lucky boy today.

Walked by it -- for the seventh (?) day in a row -- to climb into the Subie and drive. Maybe this weekend, sweetheart ...
