They could put some big wings and a butt cup in there, they are experts at that. Add a sissy bar, extended forks, and you'd be well on your way...

I’d be well on my way to creating something that would cause the rivet counters and detail nazi’s in the Vincent Owners Club to collectively puke up their Pimms..( might be fun to watch tho..)

I finally changed the oil and noticed the bike still has lots of bug splats all over. I did not wash them off.

So ... if you win the lottery you'll be riding your new Super Ultra Glide to work? 8-)

I'm actually going to wash mine today. First time in over a month. It has so much filth and grime built up from weeks of wet riding, it actually weighs more.

While Bill Lumberg was washing his bike. Trevor and I were out getting ours dirty. We met up with a guy from my work and rode 115 miles over some country twisties . 45 degrees and sunny here South of Pittsburgh. Very pleasant riding conditions. Steve from work was on an Aprilia Capo. After the ride, he said he was very tired because he doesn't normally ride that long. I guess we need to break him in.

Trevor and I rode half of the ride on the FJR and the other half on the Tracer GT. Nice day of riding for the first week of January.

I got out to ride today since I'm gonna miss the ride tomorrow. It's not often you get 60degree forecasts in January, so you get out there. I was smelling what Duane was cooking, so I wanted to take 178/215 up to Trust and Hot Springs, then head east to 80 back south.

All was good as I left at a lazy 9:45 departure, heading west and north to 178/11 at about 55F. It took me awhile to familiarize myself once again with my FJR. It had been awhile, and when I tried starting it, I screwed the pooch and didn't give it enough gas and it caught then coughed. Evidently, the battery was down a little bit. WOT a few times and it caught. It's amazing how quickly rust forms on your mental processes, when you've been away from riding a few weeks. Took awhile to get reacquainted, but sometime during the ride I wasn't thinking about it anymore, but just riding. Even took awhile for a familiar road to become familiar again.

I headed up 178/215...and had to relearn it. The day was sunny, roads were in the process of becoming dry from 2 days of rain on top of earlier days of rain. But the sunny patches were drying out. It was 50F as I headed north of 64, 42F at the top near the BRP...as I start to see snow on the grass and icy patches ON the road on the north side of the BRP. I quickly turned around as I was by myself with no one to assist me out of a ditch, if it came to that. I enjoyed the view, and turned off the GPS route and made for East Fork Rd to 276 SB. The river/creek along East Fork Rd was swollen and the whitewater was beautiful in the glint of sunlight. As I ambled along I enjoyed the views and passed a few fishermen. As I headed south on 276 I was grateful for leafless trees to see through the curves for oncoming traffic. Since my 310 mile route was a bust, I headed east on 414 to 14 to 176 up the hill to Saluda. I love that set of curves, passing lanes included. I finished off the day with Saluda Rd, Old 25, Chinquapin Rd, and Tigerville Road.

The ride was just awesome!

I got home to find that the 190 mile ride in 4 hours was just enough to finish off this PR2 Rear that scrubbed roads in SC, NC, TN, KY, IL, MO, AR, MS, AL, and GA. It's done it's job.

Tomorrow, I'll pry on a takeoff and wash the crud off the bike...Hoping for another riding day soon.

Took it out for a little ride, since it was sunny and 45 degrees.
