Default Need help with zumo fuze popping

Here’s the deal. About 3 weeks ago I installed a new zumo550 and hard wired it thru my FZ1 fuzeblock. Everything has been working fine until this morning when I notice the GPS isn't charging.

I start by checking the plug on the motorcycle mount itself, I pull it off and refasten it with the two little screws and that doesn’t work. Then I go to the FZ1 and sure enough the 2 amp fuse is blown. No biggie I have spares so I pull out the burnt fuse and as I put in the new one I get a spark and it pops. Thinking I maybe did something wrong I unscrew the positive wire first and put in a new 3 amp fuse. The second I try to re-insert the positive wire back in I get the spark and it pops the fuse.

I have my radar detector wired up to the FZ1 and it is working so I know its not the fuzeblock.

Any ideas on what the problem could be? I checked the hardwire and I did not find any chaffing or melting. I’m at a loss here on what to do next.

    Thanks in advance

I was just going to tell you to check for a bad wire too. Glad you got it fixed.

I had a problem with my Zumo not charging. Didn't pop the fuse, just wouldn't charge. Check everything from the battery to the cradle. Zumo charged with the wall socket charger. I didn't know how to check the cradle. I call Garmin USA and they sent me a new cradle. Works fine now!
